BofA secretly provides information to the federal government about your purchases and spending habits without your knowledge. They do this illegally in support of the the new democrat administration. It is outrageous, almost unbelievable, but true. I have been with them for over 30 years but will not stand for their new "woke" spying on Americans. My accounts will be closed within the week.
Where do I even start? It took over a month to receive my card but never received my pin. Then I go deposit my check and the teller informed me there will be a two day hold. I'm like okay but then I receive an email that it will take 12 days for my check to be released. Customer service was no help. This bank is just straight ridiculous and I will definitely be moving along.

I have been a Bank of America customer for years, my MasterCard was issued from that bank. So I decided to try and open up a new checking account. OMG! I went to my local branch in Fairfield, CT, the person helped me and I thought things were OK. Until I got home to my computer to find that the two other accounts I had connected to my BOA card has disappeared! So I called their "help desk." What a joke! I ended up with "Sue, from Phoenix AZ." Not only was she totally unfriendly, but rude, patronizing and obtuse. "In order to access your account," she said "I need your Government Issued ID" "What?" I said, "I don't have a government issued ID." So she told me she couldn't proceed without it. I had already given her my Social Security Number. So I tried to clarify what a "Government issued ID" was and she said "a driver's license." So I said "great, I have mine right here." But she said "The Authentication process has failed because you couldn't answer the question." I was incredulous "WHAT"? But I have my license right here!" Sue STILL would not take that information! It was like the Twilight Zone." I can't believe that Bank of America would actually hire or tolerate someone as rude, condescending and hostile as "Sue" from Phoenix turned out to be. The irony is that after looking over the web page, I finally figured out, on my own, how to ADD BACK those two missing accounts! Can you imagine? This incident happened yesterday, Wednesday June 9th I intend to write a more formal complaint to their corporate office.
I am on my 21st call into Bank of America to resolve what should be a simple matter to resolve -- 4 fraud charges that keep cycling back on my account. Managers have said they would call back; they have not. I would suggest that no one use Bank of America as they have such serious operational issues, it's frightening. Too bad Alaska Airlines has them as the bank for their credit card. Below are the charges they keep charging and then crediting and then charging again.
Worse bank in the history. There would be 20 people in line and only 1 person working while there are 4-5 people on the side basically cheering you on saying “stay in line”, “you’ll be up soon”, “ glad to see you here”. So basically you’re charging us to use the bank, wait in line for 20-45 minutes to give you our money. Don’t waste your time, goto your local bank because they have way better customer service and functional drive through. In Memphis area, all the ones with drive through are closed in drive through. They opened a new one up finally close to my house and within few months they are closed. NEVER going to give my money to BOA ever again. I can’t wait to bet against them in stocks in 2022.
I banked with Bank of America for over 10 years. Not only are their fees among the highest in the industry their interest rates for savings snd checking accounts are among the lowest in the industry. They stack their overdraft fees one on top of the other on top of another. Granted, people should keep enough money in their accounts so that they are not overdrawn, but it does happen. While other banks are offering waivers for an occasional overdraft, Bank of America is still getting rich over these overdraft fees. And all this in spite of a class action lawsuit. Most of the time, in my experience, it takes over 30 minutes on hold to reach customer service and once you reach them, you can depend upon another one or two lengthy transfers to the correct department. After not having banked with them in over 5 years I recently received a statement saying that i had opened a new account with them. I did not and would not after my prior experiences with them. After phone calls that took over 1 1/2 hours of my time I finally got this resolved. Or, so they tell me that I did. There are much better banks with much more favorable interest rates and much better customer service. I suggest USAA, Ally, or even Varo Bank in lieu of this very much left leaning banking institution.
All I can say is that if you are black, brown, yellow, tan, and do not have a million dollar, stay away from this covertly racist bank. Run as fast as possible, because this bank is a mafia infested bank that steals from its poor customers by charging overdraft fees of $35 for a dollar paid, but if a payment of $150 for maybe pay electric bill, it will not honor, but return it, charge a fee for that $ 35, and then another $35, for overdraft fees created by the return fee. Lololol ????. Do you see where I am going? This bank is predatory and racist, worst bank for those who identity as nonwhite or white non millionaires. Stay away, run for your life. Stay sane by not banking here, and having to put up with their poor management and customer service teams from Saturn planet. Warned!!!!
They keep putting me in the negatives even when I keep track and up with funds it’s always something with this bank and they take out funds too super late and I don’t understand why … I’ve never had so much issues with a bank before like I’ve had with this one … my family is moving
They are literally screwing us over on purpose so they can take as much money as possible
Absolutely ridiculous! I opened my statement the other day and Bank of America has charged me for depositing cash into my business account! I have a small business and some customers pay with cash and at time its a large amount. To find out that I am now going to be charged for depositing cash is obscene! I have been with this bank for years...it now appears that I will be needing to change all my business and personal accounts!
No customer service to speak of. Shares your information with unauthorized parties. Find a different bank.
Would not even give them one star but it would not let me give them 0.
Locked into high interest rate. I
always pay my loan on time and they would not refinance. I have very high credit score so it seems unreasonable to me.. Never return calls.
May sound good but RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS BANK...pay way more in the end.
So I am making extra payments and getting out as fast as possible!!!!!!!
Bank of America need to be investigating they are racist and treat black people unfairly. They took upon themselves to change my account with out my knowledge. In retaliation against me. I been banking with them for 8 years and they are wicked demons who get mad when you stand up for yourself ungodly phillistines.

Today was a good day. I finally paid off a low-interest (because I got it so long ago) card I have had several years with BOA. Of all the banks I have had, good times and bad, recessions and booms, this Bank has been the meanest, least honest, and "most-gouging" of the average consumer, bar none in my experience. I never missed a payment, always kept under my credit limit, but this Bank constantly lowered my credit limit when I was only able to pay close to the minimums for a couple of years (2008-2010), even though, as I said, I was always paying it and other bills down faithfully and i never screwed them. They made money off of me. The effect of their relentless behavior was to lower my credit score because of "credit utilization" ratio. By lowering my ceiling again and again, even though I was reducing my balance every month, they caused my score to go down and led other banks to increase my interest rates with them - which of course BOA also did itself (to help them at the expense of the average person, who did not cause the crash - they did). This mirrored their fundamental behavior toward the rest of the country - in the 2008 financial collapse, BOA was a the heart of the problem, perhaps more than any other bank, they helped to cause the collapse. And they screwed millions of people, for years. Their executives, of course, did not suffer. As the economy finally got back on its feet in the Obama years, this megabank resumed all of its anti-customer habits and and some reputation of general bad service. SO today, when I closed this account, I looked on the website to see where I could register a complaint about the service (not even about the big bad history I wrote about above, just their present service), and NOWHERE can you do that. They have pages bragging about how much they "give" to "the community," how nauseatingly politically correct they are, how great and noble their "history" is (highly edited, like North Korea), etc. Want to contact them? About anything? Every thing is a page or a link to a promotion to buy something; everything is a come-on; it is relentless. This is a perfect example of why the megabanks need to be brought down. I have heard and read all the "arguments" (excuses) why America "needs" megabanks, but it's economic drivel, meant to scare people. We - real people, workers in the economy - would be vastly better off if the big banks were broken up. And as to needing megabanks to leverage big capital projects, the wealth that is in the hands of America's "other banks" and millions of investors can be summoned for that, as it has been before the existence of megabanks. The megabank crowd also likes to play the China card (even though they themselves are totally wrapped up with the Chinese, as megabanks are so incestuous) that America needs "American" banks. These banks are about as "American" as the North Pole - that is, not at all - no nation, no loyalty. So glad I am now to be free of them - and of Chase, and of the equally venal Citibank: thieves, masquerading as "creators" and "financial innovators." That is polemical smoke to confuse people, no reality at all.
